Letter to Legislator:
Oppose HB1118 and SB1437

The Governor’s Bill to Repeal of the Childhood Vaccinations Exemption (HB1118 and SB1437) has been put on the 2026 docket. As this is a “carry over” bill from 2025, it could move swiftly through the legislative body, as of late February it has not yet been schedule to be heard, but we get to continue giving pressure to our legislators to NOT hear or entertain this bill in any way:

Subject: Oppose HB1118 and SB1437 (Concerned local)
Aloha,
I am a Hawaiʻi local writing to share that I do not consent to the passing or further readings of HB1118 and SB1437. These bills risk the safety and wellbeing of children and the rights of parents and caregivers to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of their children, families and therefore communities.
These bills raise grave constitutional concerns related to parental rights, bodily autonomy, and due process, as well as informed consent. Advancing legislation that restricts these rights is not consistent with the oath legislators take to uphold the Constitution.
I stand in firm opposition to, and do not consent to the passing of this bill.
Mahalo for your time and service,
(Your Signature)
